Just a stupid sketch that I wanted to show you guys. XD
American President Kennedy famously said, "All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin, and, therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words 'Ich bin ein Berliner!" to a crowd of Germans while speaking of the plight surrounding the Berlin wall.
He had wanted to make an impact, and asked his German translator how to simply say 'I am a citizen of Berlin!"
What the President REALLY said was "I am a Jelly Doughnut!"
You see, in Deutsch, when announcing your profession, or your affiliation, you need simply say "Ich bin Berliner", or "Ich bin Künstler" (I am an Artist). And at the time, a berliner was a local pastry.
But the Germans in the crowd understood what he really meant, and he was met with roaring applause.
Germany/Ludwig, however... doesn't get the joke. XD

"Ich bin ein Gelee-Krapfen" is how you say "i am a jelly donut" in german.... "Ich bin ein Berliner" IS how you say "I am a citizen of Berlin" but yes a lot of the people thought the jelly donut part as well and in fact after kennedy said that speach jelly donuts became huge out there
